Snow and Fire Festival

This is an annual festival during the middle of the first month of the lunar calendar and a reproduction of “Mishima's Sainokami Festival,” an important intangible folk cultural property. Pillars of blazing fire over 20 meters high can be seen in the snow. During the daytime, enjoyable events are held amidst the snow and local foods are available on-site.
