Somakodaka Shrine

This is the shrine of the guardian deity of the Soma clan and a ceremony site of the Nomakake ritual of the Soma-Nomaoi, in which men capture wild horses with their bare hands. Somei Yoshino and weeping cherry trees bloom on the shrine grounds, so it is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot.
